Federal Pell Grant

Pell Grants are available to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional need.  Award amounts are determined annually by the US Department of Education and are tied to both the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and the student’s enrollment status (full-time, half-time or less than half time). The Federal Pell Grant award year is July 1 through the following June 30th. Incarcerated students and students who have been convicted of a drug offense are ineligible for Federal Pell Grants, per statutory requirements.

Students apply for the Federal Pell Grant by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For more information about these grants visit the Federal Student Aid website.
